Don't worry!  I am feeling great and doing well!  I am just frustrated!  Since surgery last week, I have been taking it slow getting into the eating again, ya know...LD, soft, ect, ect..  Boy holy buckets!  It's like I had WLS all over in the fact that NOW my body doesn't like different (what were SAFE FOODS) foods!  Again, my taste buds are changed and to get to the point I HATE FOOD!!!!  I only crave soup (homemade or resturant NOT canned).   I NEED protein ideas as my sources of which I use to eat just got a whole LOT smaller!!!   Thanks for reading my whine and NOcheese anymore( since surgery)!! Love to ALL!

Aw, Sandie!!! And if all you can tolerate right now is soup, how about adding some Unflavored Unjury protein powder to it? Do Taco Bell pintos & cheese work? You could order without the cheese. How about spaghetti & sauce pureed with some meat? Here's one recipe that may be worth trying - I have heard they are fantastic, but have not personally tried them yet. Espy's Cottage Cheese Pancakes

Ingredients:

1 cup of cottage cheese (small curd works well)
4 eggs (3 if they're really jumbo)
1/4 cup of flour (best with wheat) 2 tbsps of butter melted (can be salted)
Cinnamon and salt to taste if you like
Milk to thin (optional)

Scoop the cottage cheese into a blender (You can use a hand blender instead) Add 2 eggs and blend for like 30 seconds.  Scrape the sides of the blender.  Add flour and 2 more eggs, blend for another 30 secs or so until pretty smooth.  Add cinnamon and salt to taste.  If batter is too thick and thinner is preferred, or to use as crepes, blend in milk to thin.

Hey Amy!  Thanks for the tips!  I did try the Pancakes yesterday and tummy didn't like(I think the eggs) but they DO taste yummers!  Just a phase I guess....bleck!

YEP!  It could!  Like B4 surgery when I was in pain and sick and hurling!  ICK!!!  Protein shakes and I have never gotten along.  My DH is tired of finishing the bottles that I didn't like or tummy didn't like!

Have you tried Ali's rotiserrie chicken soup?  I could post that recipe again, but it's da BOMB, BABY!  Tasty as heck, easy peasy, and FULL of protein!   That is kinda odd, that the whole taste bud thing would change up on you again...   Pouch? Meet Sandie.   Sandie?  Meet pouch.

Have I told you lately "I love you"???  I am in the process of making soup with rotiserrie chicky!  As far as the taste buds~ I'm sure they'll snap back into action.....I hope.  I'm gagging down some cottage cheese with dill weed as I type just trying to get some more protein in!  Use to love it!  OH WELL!  Thanks hon!  PM the recipe incase I am missing some sort of protein I can add!  Thanks Dear!!!
