I saw that saying last week and had to stop and think about it for a second, but once I "got it", I laughed my butt off (well, I wish I did anyhow). That is a good one (and SO true!).

I LOVE IT! I'm taking a class on dementia studies, and we're studying brain functions--what part does what, when, where and how--and this just blows my mind. (ha ha?) Only God could create something soooo complex. If you stop to think about it (another ha ha?) the lump of gray matter in the ol' cranium is a miracle---all memories,thoughts, emotions, abilities, etc. etc start in the brain. And we want to tell God what to do??

Whenever I do an autopsy and get the amazing honor of holding a human being's entire "being" in my hands, I have to take a moment to simply stare in amazement in the possibility that the entire essence of a person comes down to this small weird looking little organ. It is beyond a miracle that only God could create and must be his way of saying "look at this weird little thing, I am the only way it is possible for it to allow you to be you"
