G'Day From Down Under!

Just a quick note on hubby's computer to sat hi and that we made it here ok.  We had to spend 10 hours at SF airport which was boring!  Then the plane to Sydney stalled twice during push back and we thought we were going to have to deplane.  The mechanics got it working after being towed back to the airport and we got here only about 15 min later than we were supposed to.  However that put us here the same time as another flight so customs, luggage and passport/visa check was a nightmare.  They changed the way they do things too which was not a change for the good.  We hit paydirt at the hotel, we got a nicer place, assigned parking and a two bedroom apt for less than we paid last time.  It's in the same building as last time so I am still close to shopping, the train and of course STARBUCKS!  Some of the shops that I went to last time have closed and are empty.  One of the food stores is closed while being taken over by Aldi.  We have idea what is up with the rest yet.  Krispy Kreme is also gone but they are closing them in the US also.  It was sunny, warm and beautiful today.  I wore shorts, and enjoyed walking to the shops and sitting outside with my Starbucks.  I am still tired, the trip was longer due to the flights we had to take this time, and I was run down from being sick all week before we left.  I started feeling better on Sunday.  We just finished dinner, it's 2:30am your time.  I will try to keep in touch with everyone by e-mail when I can use hubby's computer.

We have balconies off the livingroom and bedrooms.  The one off the livingroom has a table and chairs, think I'll go use them.

Awww...if I'd have know you were going, I would have stowed away in your luggage..if you had a big trunk, that is!Hubby and I had planned to go to Australia when 911 happened, so we cancelled out. He now cant take off of work and I am employed, (wasnt then) so now we have to settle for US travel. I have always wanted to go there..so have a super duper time for me!

Australia is at the top of my list of international vacation destinations!  I don't know if I'll ever make it there, but who knows?   Still, I will forever be sad that the world lost Steve Irwin before I got to visit Australia Zoo...
