clothing sizes question

Hey hon!  As others stated, height is a big factor.  Also, tho WHERE you carry all your weight determines it also.  I was a "big butt" so jeans were ALWAYS bigger size but my dresses(the flowing type) I could wear a smaller size.  And as someone who is further out let me shed some "size" light on you: I wanted to be size 12 when starting this journey(couldn't ever remember a 12 and thought that would rock, and looking at people who wore 12's thought that was a nice size).  I started out tight24's/26's.  I got to 12's and was thrilled.  Didn't stay there long and I was 10's!!!  I loved it!  Then I hit size 8 and freaked out....not wanting to get TOO skinny.  Talked to my therapist about it and found out we have this number thing drilled into us from elementary.  So I relaxed did what I was suppose to with eating/exercise. And now I am a size 4.  I still have my size 10's and I held the two together and there really isn't much of a difference.  AND I am JUST as happy here as I was there.  The best part of this surgery is do what you are suppose to and your body will go where IT's suppose to!!!  But don't forget height as that does alter sizes!

I think someone else already mentioned build.  Muscle weighs more than fat so that can be a factor in your clothing size compared to your weight.   I have also noticed that once you start going down in the sizes there isn't as much of a difference between them.

Depending on the brand and style I'm wearing between a 12 to 15 I find it funny that a pair of size 15's can be tight and a pair of 12's can be loose. Just something funny I heard once.  There was a designer that was a size 8 her whole life.  As she started gaining weight she didn't want to have to wear a bigger size so she just made her size 8's bigger.  If you were to buy clothes from this designer you might be buying a size 10 even if you normally wear a size 16.

I try not to compare. I have lost 46 pounds and only went down one size. Others have went down several for the same weight loss.
