Just the Cheese

I know this product has been posted about before, but I have to rave on this product! Heather and I (and another friend) split a case of the Just the Cheese Classic White Cheddar. We ordered from www.amazon.com and they were on sale for $26.82, so we got free S&H too (always nice!). Here's my review for what it's worth. If you like crunchy & salty, you will like these. They reminded me of a cheese curd. I sort of shouldn't have tried it because now I almost feel like I'm craving another package. ugh Very packable though. No refrigeration required as it's baked cheese. Easy and small enough to stick in your lunch bag or a purse or briefcase.

Here's the good facts in this 0.5 oz. bag: 5g protein, 75 calories, 1 g. carbohydrate, GLUTEN FREE, NO MSG. Plus it has "more calcium than a cup of milk". And all that coming from someone who prefers sweets any day of the week! LOL

I enjoyed it too. My first thoughts were "WOW this is salty!"  But I like salt (as Amy knows....I keep a bottle of salt on my desk...) I would like to try the jalepeno, because I think a little more kick would be great. They are very rich tasting, so I've not been able to finish my bag yet, but there is no doubt I will enjoy this as a new regular snack..

And Heather had a good suggestion...great replacement of croutons on a salad if you like croutons.

I actually got to try these months ago, and I really liked them, too!  But I'm never "with it" enough to think of trying to buy things online...   Would anyone in the NW area be interested in splitting a case with me?  And how many bags are in a case?

So are they like a chip or like a chunk of cheese?

How about like a dime sized popcorn cake? That might be a good description. But denser.

(Put on your best Rosanne Rosannadanna voice before reading the following)

Ya know how ya make a big pan of spaghetti hot dish, and ya sprinkle a mess of cheese all over the top, and then ya bake it at 350 for an hour or so and when ya take the hot dish out of the oven and there's a whole mess of that cheese on the sides of the roaster that are almost burnt but not quite and they're all kinda crunchy and salty and good?  Or when ya make yourself some garlic cheese bread and ya get kinda messy with the cheese and it oozes off onto the pan and gets almost burnt in little round, brown cheesy blobs on the bottom of the cookie sheet and ya chip 'em off and eat 'em anyway?  Like that!   Gilda rules.
