Thanks Meridee!  I definitely want to keep grounded about it all and not get over the top with futuristic thinking - it's just fun for right now and I'm going to enjoy every precious moment of that excitement!

You're so sweet Heather!  BTW - You've got to come out of hiding soon - join us in Eagan for coffee this Saturday - it would be sooooooooooooo good to give you a big hug!!! As for his height - he's 6.0 ft - so not a great deal taller than me - but just fine by me!!!

Tracy, Sounds like a good thing going...and I say that because you are being you and not someone you think someone else would want...(did that make sense?) I finally found the man of my life 23 years ago after many failed marriages and relationships by going out with him and saying to myself "I am going to be myself and I dont care if he likes me or not!" and he liked me. ME...not  someone who I was trying to be....but me, just the way I really was. And he too asked if he could kiss me goodnight after our first date. And he wasnt my "Type" at all, but I knew after our first date that I was going to marry him...just took me a year to talk him into it...LOL  So keep on being YOU and enjoy the great experience of it all.

Oh how cute...23 years is a long time - Its so encouraging to hear you say that you made the conscious decision to just be you and that it all worked out.  That's what I want - I just wanna be me - take it or leave it!  For now he's taking it and that makes a world of difference in my confidence even more! It's funny that you say that you knew that you were going to marry him after the first date.  I'm not quite at that point, but I did tell my sister that I was pretty confident that this is a guy that I think I could eventually call my boyfriend.  That's huge for me and really exciting too!!! Thanks for sharing my excitement and for the encourgaging words! Love ya!

Kelly, Thank you for your kind words.  It's so much fun to have such a big family of friends to share my excitment with!  You will definitely gain confidence in your journey - it may seem tough at times and it is - but the work is worth the rewards! Take care!

It's like being a teenager again isnt it??  I met my hubby on the internet almost 9 years ago, not on a dating sight, but I was sick and couldnt sleep, so I went to chat, where of course I never chat, but it was late late late......and it was just fate!  I knew I wanted to marry him within a month I think!  We have been married 8 years in April!  Good for you!  Have a wonderful time!

It is like being young again and having a crush! But since I never got any further than a crush - this makes this all the more special!  Congrats on your successful marriage - it's good to hear that an internet relationship can really work!   Take care,
