I don't have words right now to express my sorrow and sympathy to you and your family! Nic sounds like an amazing little guy.   Please know that my thoughts and prayers will be for Nic and his whole family - I think sometimes this is harder on parents and relatives than it is on the kid - they are so resilient! May God watch over him as he endures this treatment!

There is not much one can say but I am so sorry to hear of your grandson's illness.  The trials that we go through only make our faith stronger.  God is the great physician, I pray that he guide all the medical team through this ordeal and you and your family can give it up to Him, he will carry you.  You and your family are in my prayers!  My daughter will be 16 in April, I just cannot imagine going through that, much less 3 times!  God Bless you!

I'm so sorry to hear that you and your family are dealing with this. I certainly can't take away the pain of knowing your dear grandson Nic has to endure more treatment of this terrible disease.  But know that the providers in NY are great.  In my job I collaborate with many providers out of state.  And Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is top notch.  He will be in good hands. If treatment comes back to the cities, I'd highly suggest Children's Hospital in Minneapolis.  Partially because I work there in the hem onc department, but also because they have a medical team that primarily works with kids with neuroblastoma.  The next best place is the University of Minnesota. There are many, many resources out there for kids with cancer and their families.  Make sure you keep healthy, too.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers.   Please keep us posted. Kelly

Hi Kelly....thanks for the reply. I appreciate it very much. Nic has been having all his cancer treatments done at Mpls. Childrens Hospital. He has for all these years. He went to Blank in Des Moines for a little while but then started at Childrens and has been there every since. We all love the staff and Dr. Bendell(sp) is amazing!! Nic loves everyone there and they love him. I have been there many, many times. (this is Nic's third time with this cancer) We are also familiar with the U of M. Nic had to see someone there about a year ago. Childrens is where he will have his Chemo this time around. Thanks for the positive thoughts and the prayers!! Hugs, connie d I will let you know when I will be there and maybe we could get together for a bit. It won't be until Nic returns from his consult in NY.

I'm so sorry your grandson has to go through this and your family as well.  I will remeber all of you in my prayers and send the healing angels to be with Nic and your family.  I believe in the power of angels and hope they will help your family.  I can only imagine how you must feel.  You are such a kind caring person I have to believe good things will come your way. A special hug for Nic and your family. Special Hugs for Connie, Bonnie
