OT: Coldness
So, as my nose hairs froze together this morning walking in to work, I thought about something...
Yesterday there seemed to be so much of the winter blues on here - has anyone sought out light therapy?
I have heard such great things about it but have never tried it personally.
If you have, I'd love to hear what your experience was like and if you could tell a difference in your mood after.
C'mon Spring!
I actually have used the light boxes and while they are expensive - they do work wonders - so much more energy - and less blah when I sit in front of it for 10 minutes in the morning.
Another suggestion would be a tanning booth - while not that great for your skin with prolonged exposure - the light and warmth does wonders.
I have a light box...it is expensive to buy, and you have to use it (and use it appropriately) for several days before you begin to see the effects, but yes it definately works!
Best benefits (according to my doctor) is a minimum of twenty minutes not less than 24" away from the box, immediately after waking.

This is where I got mine, and the one I use. It is kind of mid range in price, you can get cheaper or more $$ ones, but the most important feature is to make sure it has 10,000 lux.
:)
Wearing the tanning goggles would kind of deafeat the purpose.... This UV rays are filtered out, so it is in no way damaging...
