Reservation details for Lake Superior 3 BDRM cottage!
The cottage has been reserved for Friday 02/29 through Sunday 03/02. I was told by Laura (groups contact) that this resort's three-bedroom cottages do not sleep ten due to fire code. The total price for two nights is $402.50, split between eight, comes to 104.63 per person, payable to SweetSue. The reservation is for the 'Obesity Help' group, with four p.m. check-in Friday, and 11:00 a.m. check-out Sunday (Check the website, as check-out may be 10:00 a.m.) For general information, photos, and video tours, please go to www.larsmontcottages.com
It's been requested we meet Michelle G. in Duluth at Black's Grill for dinner Saturday evening. Other individuals and couples staying at the resort are definitely encouraged to join in on this as well.
It would be advantageous for the eight of us to plan meals prior to arriving at the resort. Missy, Brea, Lori P, Laurie, Deb M3, Phyllis, and SweetSue: who has suggestions? My experience with cabin/cottage sharing was to break up( we eight) into (four) teams of two, each team responsible for purchase and preparation of one meal: Friday evening dinner, Saturday breakfast, Saturday lunch, (extended group going out to Black's Grill for dinner) then Sunday breakfast. Does everyone eat steak? For example, I could bring steaks and Edamame for Friday's dinner. Please post your food selections and preferences for the planning. I plan on purchasing food from Cub before leaving, although there is a grocery store in Two Harbors, just four miles north of the resort. Ideas: chili, spaghetti, fish, egg bake or dish, veggies, fruit , etc. Please respond with your ideas and suggestions so that once we arrive, we may focus on fun, not last-minute food/meal stressors. Should we each bring our own beverages? Any additional comments, questions, and/or suggestions? Let us all know here and see what we all come up with. NOTE: I have asthma and allergies, and am letting you know that perfumes and scented lotions trigger embarrassing hacking trying to breathe, even with taking allergy meds and using inhalers. Anyone else got an embarrassing revelation? Thank you so much, and this is getting more and more exciting! Have a 'terrifc Tuesday' and stay warm! Hugs galore, Patti
