So glad you posted what you did!  This journey isn't easy and the farther out we get the more work it will be - but if we set our minds to it we WILL succeed.   I agree with Sandie - definitely stick around and post - it's good for us to hear from the "experienced" ones! Thanks and good luck to you on the last bit of weight - you CAN do it!

Hi Tracey, Great to see you posting.  I want to chime in and say I agree 100%.  I could use to lose another 20, but I ask myself if I will be able to keep it off. I already work out 4-5 days a week..........sometimes an hour, sometimes 30 minutes. It's alot of work!!  I remember a saying that was used at OA meetings........."it works when you work it!" I noticed today I was feeling very down and "cloudy".  I was not like that a week ago when I did the 5DPT. This past weekend I got into carb mode.....too much bread and chips...........I think that's the culprit!! When I eat protien and vegies I have a much clearer head and can focus much better. It's pretty amazing. I think another positive effect of WLS is I'm much more in tune with my body.......4 years ago I would have never noticed the carb vs protien difference.  Sorry if I rambled...........but this seems to always be on my mind!!  Take care, Pat

Good to hear from you Pat!  I miss all of our old meetings and gatherings.  It's too bad we all couldn't of continued with the support meetings, etc.  Life just gets busy - it does make me wonder how much it would help us all.  Good luck to you Pat! Tracey

Thanks for your words of wisdom, Tracey! How true!  After the honeymoon, the real work starts. That honeymoon period is such a blessing--and it's where we HAVE to learn the good habits!

Thanks for posting this.  As a only 4-months out person, it is good to hear that we have to keep focused on the prize!!!!  The surgery was the easy part -- now the hard work really starts!!!

Thank-you Tracy for reminding me of that. I am sooo fearful that I will gain wt. back that sometime I choose the wrong food now already out of mindlessness, so I try to keep reminding myself that it may not affect me now but in the future it will.
