Can't swallow my meds
Has anyone tried the liquid form of Zoloft, just wondering how awful the taste is? I'm having trouble swallowing this in pill form ( I have to take 2 -100 mg tabs each night). Every night I have the dry heaves after taking only 1/2 a pill even cut up. When I cut the medication up it disolves so quickly and tastes awful even mixed in something like jello or applesauce that I gag. I have to take 6 different pills at night so I've learned I can't take them all at once and have to stagger them through out the evening everything goes down ok except the zoloft.. Its the most dreaded part of my day.

Hi Kathy, yes, I had been sent home with a bottle of liquid Zoloft. No it didn't taste well at all (bitter!), but I knew I needed to take it, and did so, then had a sip of my favorite Crystal lite. Gotta focus on the big picture, not the taste, ok? I don't recall yow long the bottle lasted, and there forward I'd cut the pills and would take a sip of Crystal lite, take the crushed pills, followed by another sip of Crystal lite, Best wishes to you! Hugs galore, Patti

I don't take zoloft, but I do know that other medications I took after surgery were the same. Nasty. I tried mixing it up in jello and applesauce with no luck.
The only bit of advice I have is to see if you can take some of your meds earlier in the day. When we start having to take iron, calcium, etc., taking everything at once becomes a chore that I, personally, would dread and more than likely skip. Spacing it out helps a bit because it isn't so much at once.
You are still probably sore from surgery. Just know that it gets better. Keep up the good work.
