Mucinex???

I bought the generic version .. I have horrible pain when I cough and these thick curtains of phlegm. Sorry Anywho.. they are tabs and I cut them and took them. Then I thought are these ok? duh This was two hours ago and Im fine sooooooooooo Any thoughts? Signed. Sick of the cold

I have no clue!  Aren't the ingredients pretty similar to cough medicine that has expectorant in it?

This is a medication that thins out mucous, which should make it easier to cough up. An expectorant helps your coughs to bring more mucous up and out. Linda, just remeber to drink a lot more water when you take the Mucinex. There should be no pouch problems from this med.

Hey you mentioned drink more water with this... does it dehydrate?

The pharmacist at Walgreens recommended the kids Mucinex last week.  It helped alot.  It comes in packages that you pour in your mouth and it dissolves.  Not bad. I hope you feel better soon, sweetie

I use this stuff all the time. I get the Mucinex-D BEHIND the counter with the good snotsuckerupper (it has sudafed in it).
