Insurance Approval

Well, my hubby called the insurance co. again yesterday and they said I was approved!!!!  YEAH.  So he called the hospital, they said they would call me today, he faxed them the confirmation number and everything, then they called him or something later and told him they needed a confirmation letter from tricare before they would call and schedule surgery and they didnt know how long that would take. For heaven's sake, just schedule it already, they will get the stikin letter before I have the surgery.  I am a Food Service Director in a Nursing home, I have lots of things going on the middle and end of March.  They said it would be 30 days out, I am hoping for 3 weeks, or I will have a problem on my hands, but then I will just have to deal with it I guess. Thanks for letting me vent!

Congratulations!!  The waiting is always the hardest part...some of us are not exactly the most patient people (myself included).  But at least you know it is approved and now it's just a matter of time before you will begin your new, healthier life! Debi

Good Morning, When I was jumping thru all the hoops, I was like a jumping bean. Congrats to you on the approval!!! I had a date set and it seemed so far out, so I asked to be put on the waiting list. And you know what they called me and I had my surgery 2 weeks early. WOOO HOOO. Good luck on your journey.

Congrats on getting your approval....it all takes time...you will get your date and I hope it is when it works out best for you. Waiting is a big part of this whole proccess...we do an awful lot of it!! Hang in there it can't be much longer.

Congrats on getting approved. I hope you are able to get surgery when it's more convienent for you. But, if you don't, no worries... at least you'll still be getting surgery. Hold on to that.  Lori
