Insurance approval......still waiting

Methodist sent in my paperwork last Tuesday to BCBS.  It usually is done within the week.  However, Blue Cross told me they have 10 days.   So, I am feeling content.  I know that when it is suppose to be approved it will happen.  I am thankful I'm not going nutty.  (Maybe I really am and am just taking my frustrations out on my cpap machine, for those of you who have read about my cpap issues.)  Tee hee! I know when I hear it will be a big relief.  I'm not feeling so relaxed about my durgery date.  I was really hoping for the beginning of March, due to spring break.  I teach first grade and that would help if I could use some of my recovery time during spring break.  I hate being away too long.  I'm blabbering........ Thanks for listening......

You never know what they have open for surgery so don't be too sure it won't happen yet....I'll keep my toes crossed for your approval (can't cross my fingers cause then I can't type). XXOO

 Mine took two weeks to the day with Blue Cross. Youll get this... its such a scary time and breath holding..!!! Its gonna be so fun to see you go through this and start shrinking!!!!!!!!! Gots my fingers crossed! HUGS Linda

When i was waiting - i called my insurance several times - 3rd time was the charm - I would just ask the status and they could tell me if it was pending etc.  Then when it said if was approved I asked them to fax it to the scheduler so I could get scheduled. 

I didn't get in as fast as I hoped - dr. is on vacation the first 2 weeks of march - so that kicked everyone back on the schedule.

I am sure you will hear soon.  Doesn't hurt to be a squeaky wheel with your insurance.   Doesn't it feel great to know you have jumped all the required hoops and now is just the waiting.

I just booked at Methodist, and with Dr. Svendsen he's pretty much booked out until the 2nd -3rd week in March.  Don't know about the other surgeons tho'.   Good luck to you!!! 

First of all, Dear Heart, your kidlets are lucky to have you as teacher! Such dedication is awesome to see! Other than that---good luck!!   Your time is coming!!  And keep on trying that dang cpap---you'll get the hang of it, from what others who use it say. ((HUG)) and **SUE**

I know waiting is a big drag but just think how close you are!!! It is easy for me to say (and you will probably have to remind me of this when my turn comes!) but you've come this far what's another few days! Can't wait to see that approval post!
