Well I have one more week till my big day. I am starting to get butterflies!!!  I have some shopping I need to do to be sure I am comfortable in the hospital and that I have the things I need when I get home. So anyone have any advice on what I should buy to make the recovery better for me? What type of different things can I eat during my liquid diet time...I am the type that gets sick of eating the same thing over and over, so I would like to get a variety. So any tips anyone can give me that helped them will be greatly apprecaited!!! Thank you and I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL, SPECIAL Valentines Day!! My hubby gave me a sweetheart ring this morning, so precious!   Bad news I need to get it sized, but I better wait for a bit, because I am sure the size will be changing again.  Take care ~Jodi~

hey Jodi~ for your clear liquids anything you can see through. I did Mrs. Grass chicken soup (in the box) i just didn't put the noodles in. SF jello cups and white grape juice diluted by half. I also used the campbells gumbo and just strained it thats yummy and spicy. then the regular LD I used SF CIB w/ my milk, more strained soups, bean w/bacon put in the bullet tasted like heaven!!! any kind of cream soup works, and of course your crystal lite but don't go nuts and buy alot of any of this stuff I bought like 4 boxes of the mrs. grass and I think 6 cans of the soups and I still have crystal lite coming out of my ears because I don't like sweet things anymore (so the kids drink it sometimes!) and I just sent the last of the mrs. grass home with my sister when she was sick... you aren't "eating" much remember?

Jodi...your surgeon and his nutricianist show be able to tell you what their recomendations are. All doctors and clinics are different. Mine only allowed Boost High Protein Drink two weeks before surgery and Boost Glucose Control Drink four weeks after. We could also have SF Jello and SF popscicles and broth. Good luck...don't forget to take chapstick to the hospital and a pillow for the ride home. Hugs, connie d

My favortie thing after surgery was SF popsicles (Bombs) oh they are sooo good.  I also ate alot of yogurt and SF pudding.  Wishing you the best on your journey.
