I talked to Dr. Jeff Monday, he said to go see my family Dr. and get a B1 & Iron test done. And to see a Gastroenologist. So yesterday I saw my family Dr. they took the blood tests which should come back today or Friday. He said to hold off 1-2 weeks on seeing the specialist because his thought was since I'm not having a BM on my own he would prescribe Amitiza and that should help. He felt my stomach all over and said, "Wow" is it active in there, he doesn't think there is an obstruction so the gel pills should help. I took one last night and it went down, it is just small enough. I had 2 BM's last night. As far as not loosing, no one really knows, the body goes through different things for everyone.......They feel the blood tests may show something or just getting my BM's under control may help. I'm trying to be patient, it's just hard not loosing when you don't eat much and are following everything. 1-3-08 RNY Dr. Jeff

I am only a few days ahead of you with regards to surgery.  I hit a stall a couple of weeks ago, and it happened around my time of the month.  I was following directions, having the same back side problems that you are having, and feeling very frustrated.  Since then I've started losing again.  It certainly wasn't as quickly as the first couple of weeks, but it did happen.   I noticed during my stall that the pillow top around my waist started to shift around.  I think that is what my body decided to do for the week (instead of losing lbs).  And also remember that if you are exercising, muscle weighs more than fat.   You are doing a great job following up with MDs to be sure nothing is wrong.  I just want you to know that you aren't the only one.  It sounds fairly common.   Good luck.  Let us know how things turn out. Kelly,        Thanks for posting, Come to think about it, this all started when I started solid foods and got my period. I'm glad to know that someone else had these same issues, I felt like I failed once again. Thanks again. And good luck to you on your weight loss. Kelly

Just be patient...it will happen....you are losing inches I am sure. It hasn't been that long yet....your body is just adjusting. You will start to see the pounds slipping away before long. Hugs, connie d
