What are your plans for Valentine's?

Well, last night I baked a cake for my family.  I was GONNA bake it for a church function last Sunday, but I was so beat after a long day of coffee and shopping with Teri, I just couldn't.  So I bought one. My family then wanted to know what I was gonna do with the mix I had.  They're so subtle...  I baked the 2 rounds last night, and I'll decorate it up tonight after PNC.  And I'm not even worried that I'll want to eat any!  (Cakes?  I'm good.  Chips?  They're EVIL! )   For dinner we'll have steak and shrimp.  I may cave and go buy some crablegs, I noticed they're on sale all over the place!  I can save the shrimp for some other day.  I kinda like having a few for dinner when everyone else does Culvers or McDonalds.  Otherwise, no big plans here!  I need to pick up my wedding ring, had to get a new crown put on it, so it would be nice to have THAT back on my finger!  Rich asked me if I wanted them to put a bigger stone on it as long as they had it, wasn't that sweet?  But I told him no, that's not a Valentine thing.  But if he wants to do that for our 20th Anniversary in 2010, I'd go along with it then!  How 'bout YOU, hot stuff Diamond Girl???

We have a snowstorm brewing tonight...so if that blows over and Chef Rob... AKA "Mr. No Plans" doesn't forget we have a date!!! I'll be going out to dinner, probably something like Timberlodge Steakhouse. We'll see!

Well Randy and I celebrated last Friday by going to the Outback mate'.  I get the pleasure of working tomorrow night at TJ's and I suspect it will be slow.  Yeah..  I would say we would celebrate on Friday but I get to head up north for a retreat with my crazy church lady friends..  I JUST love those guys!!  So Randy and I decide to exchange a hug or 2 tomorrow...

OH was having functional issues when I posted earlier so my post didn't show up. Anyhooo, we are doing the $7.99 shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's. Fun for the kids. We are doing our home version of the Cinema Grill where we'll eat pizza in the TV room & watch a kid-flick. And the kids are making the dessert so we'll see how that goes (probably end up with marshmallows & peanut butter or something odd). DH & I went out for lunch downtown Mpls. after my dietician appt. the other day. It was a lovely lunch and quite pricey so that will do! LOL

UGH...Valentines Day is not good this year!! This is my first Valentines Day without Tony. We broke up in August. I am not handling it very well. I have tried to get excited and do the dating thing but then when it comes down to it I back out. Three offers and I turned them all down. Tony called last night which didn't help. Then he tells me how much he loves me ....boohooo...... we were both crying. We can't get back together so I need to get in gear and move on....wi**** was that easy. So back to the question....I will be home alone!! Hugs, connie d

Oh Connie that sucks! Valentines day is always hard especially that first time out.  I don't know if it's a good thing or not from your post that he still loves you, but I say forget staying home alone! go get a group of single gals and go to dinner and a movie!

I hear you on that one...Wayne and I broke up on Saturday, so I will probably be home alone, moping....

I have no plans

hubby is done at work at 6:30 but who knows when he'll be home - supposedly he promised to not work late any more but I've heard that before

 

Connie - I'd not be embarrassed to be seen with ya on V-day - I'm just too broke to go out LOL

I am home sick today!  Sucks!  Hubby is at work till 2.  Hoping to go get our taxes done.  He left my gifts on the entertainment center this morning.  Roses and a Calla Lily plant.  Pics are in my profile.  We are going for Mexican tonight.  Then maybe go play some pool or a movie.  Or just coming home depending on how I feel.
