Have any of you participated in a TKD class after WLS?  I'm thinking of getting into it mostly for my kids, but it is only $14 extra a month if I do it too.  That would be great for all of us to get active.  And classes are 3 times a week.  Just wondering tho if all the kicking and punching that TKD does bothers anyone who is post op?  I mean with strain, or excess skin problems or any other for that matter.   Any thoughts would be appreciated, as my son is NOT excited to do this, but if we did it as a family, I could "convince" him...

oh I want to take karate again!  But I havent because of your same questions.  I was in it when I was younger and I was pretty good but now I feel silly.  But I secretly love martial arts!  I love to watch movies with fighting in it.  I know Im lame but if I cant be honest here where can I be??  LOL!  I hope someone answers your questions.  I would like to know too!

I think it would be okay.  My grandson is heavy into TKD and it is hard -- but a good workout.  Also, there are several older people (70+) in classes and they do fine -- and they are not all that in shape either.  Some of the schools will let you sit in on or participate in a class to see if you like it.  You should check it out.....PM me with any questions....
