I have to go to Old Chicago for a business lunch today. What am I going to do? Is there anything that I can eat? I'm on soft foods.  Sorry everything I have eaten as been staying down. YEAH!!!!

Hey Ang - I'm going with soup. I know you're probably tired of it, but that's the only thing I can think of. Unless maybe they have a soft fish you can mash up with your fork and some mashed potatoes? Maybe excuse yourself to the restroom after you've been seated and seek out the waiter/waitress and explain you are on a soft food diet due to surgery and are needing a special meal. Or even better, call ahead if you can. Good luck & let us know what you eat and how it goes!!!

I know they have soup but you could look online to see the menu and maybe get an idea ahead of time.

Well, I can eat ahead of time as I did not bring anything silly me. I really thought that I would be going to a different place for lunch. But, changed last mintue. I guess I will have to go with Amy's idea and hope that they a soup that I like.  Lisa, I'm feeling pretty good. Food is staying down so that is a plus. Still a little tired but I have managed to get in 30 grams of protein this morning so I hope that will help.  Missed you Saturday!!!

I so happy for you that you are able to keep food down. Finally!!! I looked up Old Chicago's menu online and the have a turkey burger you could order just take off the bun. They also have alot of chicken dishes that may be good also. I'm on soft foods and those have been okay as well as Chicken Quesadilla's. But that may be to much for you so soon. Check out there menu ahead of time and then you can see what you might like.

Well, lunch is over and I had chicken noodle soup. I ate around the noodles so basically a few carrots, celery, and chicken. It was pretty good. The best part was dipping a Saltine cracker in the broth and it just melted in my mouth. Who knew a Saltine cracker was so GOOOOD!!  The food is staying down. I'm feeling absolutley great today.  Could this be it? could I be turning the corner to feeling myself again? Boy I sure hope so.  Thanks everyone!!! Have a great rest of the day!!
