Liquid Diet ~ Day One

Well, I made it through the first day of my liquid diet and honestly never felt hungery.  I did get a headache but luckily ibuprophen took care of that.  Fighting my brain was tough though.  The evening was the hardest time with the rest of the family eating real food (big mistake-I made their dinner).  Reading all the posts about how important it is to follow drs. orders kept me in line and also knowing that it is so important to a good surgery outcome.  I amazed myself that I could do it.  The posts really give me strength to continue.

Way to go!!!  I'll be following in your footsteps pretty soon.  I know it's going to be tough, but like you said you have to do it in order to have a good outcome.  Plus, I've heard many times that this indicates how well you're going to handle your "head hunger" post-op.  Good luck!!

Congrats on making it through day 1!!! You are going to deal with the head hunger during this process. I really think that this will help you after surgery as well!! Keep up the great job and remember the prize in the end.

Take care.

God Bless, Angela

Congrats on surviving day one!  Keep posting, especially when you need help.  That's what we're here for.  (BTW, after surgery you can't take ibuprofen, only Tylenol.)

Hello Sandy and congrats on day #1. They say the first 3 days are the hardest. I didn't think any of it was hard. I liked the feeling not putting all that bad food into my body.  I wish you the best as the days go by. Remember to keep your eye on the prize!! Hugs, connie d
