Did/do you love your cpap....if you DID, please let me know!
Hey Lisa,
You got some great responses here - just thought I'd add that I had one until I had lost around 50 lbs. Then I didn't need it anymore. Before that, the benefits of feeling better greatly outweighed how goofy I looked in bed. My husband and I just laughed about it. Take it in stride with "for better or worse"...and this really is minor in the worse category. I'd just tell him...kiss me honey before I put my head on!
On another topic...I think I may have carpal tunnel and lately I've been sleeping with wrist braces on. So...no CPAP but something else! Oh well...that's life!

Just to let you know that before surgery I had a cpap machine that I couldn't stand! I had a hard time breathing and relaxing with that on. I stoped using mine about a month after surgery and haven't looked back since. I sleep like a mouse now and am never tired. Not sure when you have surgery but I'll bet that will be the case with you! hang in there!

It took me about a month to get use to using mine but once I did I never sleep without it. I guess I'm lucky in the sense that my husband goes to bed around 7pm (he works at 1am) and rarely sees me with it on. When he does he kind of makes fun of me a little but I know its in fun.

You are all just the best. I'm hearing a mix of all the things I need to hear to get through! I love you all! REALLY! I love that you take the time to read and then respond to others issues. Thanks you! I wouldn't want to go through this without all of you!

Before I had my Cpap i would fall asleep in mid-conversation and I'd have to slap myself to keep from falling asleep while driving. No more worries about that now.
My brother also uses one and we refer to them as our "Snuffies" because we have been told we look like Snuffleufagus from Sesame street with them on. It just becomes routine after awhile.
