Having a hard time today as I just heard that even with all the rashes that the insurance feels it is medically not neccessary.  I am crushed.  I am tired of the rashes!  The itch, the pain, the stink, ect.  I will get over this but I am just so crushed right now.  I guess my PS doc is going to appeal but I am not putting any thought to it.  I may not respond to you wonderful people as I am going to take some time off and get back into check.  LOVE TO ALL!

Sandie I know this has got to be heartbreaking BUT please remember that it can take an appeal to get the yes answer... don't give up on this... keep apealing as many times as you need to. Your not a quitter and you've come soo sooo far on this journey!!! Keep a positive belief that you will get this done! Sit down and list all the things you are thankful for, then ask for what you want and believe it will happen!!! Your in my good thoughts Hugs Lisa

What bad news!  Damn Insurance!

Check this out - it is a woman who posted her appeal letters that helped her win..

Awww, Sandie!  That does stink, in more ways than one!  Don't give up hope!   Sometimes it's the timing. Might not be your time right now. Anyway--love you, Chica!  You're the best!  ((HUG)) **SUE**

Sandie, I'm sorry, but like the others said an appeal might help, so be patient. I will say a pray for them to cover. Take care!

Do you know why insurance companies deny procedures the first time (and even the second and third time around)?  Because it helps them weed out people who may have a reason to have surgery but who aren't very serious about it.  Those who appeal and appeal and take the time to appeal again often end up winning their appeals.  Denying the procedures helps the insurance company save money, which means bigger bonuses to their staff.  Don't give up.  Stick with it because it does work.  You just need to squeek a little louder.   It is only my opinion on the insurance bit.  But I have worked in the field for a very long time.  And seen most of this first hand. Persistence pays! Kelly

Take a bit of time to process your frustration and hurt, then get back on that bandwagon and continue to fight for yourself!  You have valid reasons for needing this PS - heck, to be honest, I'm HOPING I develop rashes so I can stand a fighting chance to get it covered someday in the future!!!  I know that sounds warped, but so far, I have none. Put 'em up, Sandie!!!  Fight the good fight!!!
