taz.ca is in surgery

She will be starting surgery at any moment!  I didnt get a chance to meet her yet, she didnt call me when she got in from canada yesterday so I will be meeting her for the first time when she gets out of surgery!  I will post more tonight after I go see her.  I just wanted to let you know so you could pray for a safe surgery.   Soon she will be next to us on the losers bench!  Welcome Lori!

Thanks for being Lori's angel, Missy! Give her my best, and I'll be keeping her in my prayers for a quick recovery! Could you give her my phone #?  Thunder Bay is a halfway point between Duluth and Marathon.  She might want to consider stopping at my home for an overnight stay--or at least a rest--on her way home.  I sure would feel better if she had someone to drive her, but stopping might help break up the drive. I will!  I will try to convince her to do that!  I dont like that she will be driving home alone!  If I could take the time off I would drive her but I cant.

Missy, First of all, I've been meaning to tell you how fabulous you look!  WOW - WLS has been very very good to you!  congrats on all your success. Next - thanks again for being Lori's angel - I agree that I hate that she had to come down here alone and drive back alone.  it's so nice of you to take the time to be with her when she comes out of her surgery!  Definitely tell her that we all think it's best for her to stop at Sweet Sue's on her way home - much better than a hotel and that way someone can be there to make sure she's doing alright! Can't wait to hear that her surgery went without incident!  Give her big hugs from all of us! Thanks again for updating us!

HI Missy~ Can you find out when Lori's likely to be released from the hospital?  I'm trying to see if a friend would be able to drive me to Duluth Friday or so. IF this pans out, I'd be able to drive Lori at least as far as Thunder Bay.  That is, if she's interested.  I just cannot make any promises at the moment. When  I had my surgery, my sister flew in from Tucson and drove me to Duluth, waited while I was in surgery (and took notes of the nonsense I spoke post-op!) and sat with my Duluth Angels Vickie and Michelle.  This other friend drove down with my son that Thursday and made the trek back to Thunder Bay--with me happily drugged to the gills with great meds!  But boy--I sure wouldn't have been able to drive back by myself!  And I sure wouldn't want Lori to have to do that! Anyway--- we'll see...I'll let you know closer to the weekend.

I think that would be awesome if you could!  Well she will be in the hospital until around wednesday and then she has to stay at the hotel for a couple days so that would be perfect.  I just called the hospital and she isnt in a room yet. The nurse didnt know if she was even out of surgery yet.   I will let her know what you have suggested when I see her.  You really rock sweet sue!  Your name is perfect!

I guess it's a 'pay it forward' kind of deal.  I'm hoping that my friend will be able to drive me to Duluth, but it depends on how his week stacks up. ALSO--if I get a call about placement I HAVE to take it.  But if things are meant to be, they will be! Give Lori a hug for me!   And if me going to Duluth doesn't pan out, the offer of her staying here at my place is definitely on!  An 8+hour drive from Duluth to Marathon is brutal, especially post-op. And thanks for being such a great angel, Missy!
