I have a new respect for YOGA!!!
OUCH!!!! I went with a friend to a yoga class at LifeTime on Thursday. Neither one of us had ever been so we thought we'd try. I was VERY relaxing and a great class (except that I have pins in my feet and can't do ALOT of the push-up type moves without using my knees as a breaker). My friend wanted to leave when they started the "on your back~~let works the abs stuff" so I was a little disappointed cause those I could have done with no worries about my feet!!! Man my abs hurt just from the 45 minutes of stretching type stuff.
WOULD HIGHLY recommend yoga as an exercise -- they are all thin and look great because it works!!!!

I lovvvve yoga! Its somthing simple and works sooooooooooooo deep. Simple I mean stretching... how'da thunk it.
Now I wanna go. LOL Hmmmmmmmmmmm

I did enjoy the class but would have loved to do ALL the stuff -- stupid feet!!!! I'm trying a half-ball class on Tuesday so I'll see how that goes. The big balls are cut in half and sit on the floor and they do core building -- hopefully I can do all those. A different friend who belongs to Lifetime is taking me and she said they have alternative positions for those who can't do the exact thing so I'll be able to do it all. I'll let everyone know.

I'm diabetic and almost passed out in a Pilates class because of low blood sugar. I thought, "What the heck?!" I was just standing -- for quite a while -- moving my extended leg back and forth. What a wuss I am! Well, what I'm trying to say, is that Pilates is like Yoga in that way...very decieiving in how much work you're body is doing. Yoga and Pilates are both great work outs.
