HealthEast St.Paul ?

Was searching  the net for places in the cities and spotted a HealthEast St.Joseph ,St.Paul has some meetings and surgeons. Anyone here deal with them? Looks like Medicare only covers RNY and lapband dang was hoping for the vertical sleeve.

I love them! Everyone there is so nice. I am the kind of person who would have given up and never gone back if I didn't like the people. Everyone on the office staff knows me and greets me by name. I am very surprised by the service that I have gotten there. I can call and ask any questions. They are really supportive! All of the appointments are located with in the office and the hospital (except the sleep dr.). I would suggest going to the meeting it is worth it! I guess I should have checked out other programs but I was really happy with the treatment I got at the informational meeting. Good luck!

I thought Medicare had come around and was now approving the DS and sleeve as well now???

I'd double-triple check that if I were you.

Be sure the doctor you choose has done many of the surgeries you choose!

I am a little bias..... I have been absolutely pleased with the care I have received. Dr Schwartz and my Dr at that clinic were the first 2 surgeons in the midwest to do RNY's laparoscopically. They were the only ones doing them in the state for the first 2 and a half years. My dr has done more than 1000 lap RNY's and a couple thousand probably, they didn't always keep track, of open RNY's. Dr Schwartz is close to 1000 lap RNY's I believe. They have continued to adjust their technique to perfect it over the past 30 or so years. Their stats are incredible as far as complications etc.

I also love everyone at St Joe's. I had a wonderful experience from the start the nurses, doctors and the whole office are very supportive. I would recommend them. Sarah She believed She could So she did

Thank you so much, I plan on calling Monday. It is nice to know others that have gone. I hope they know about insurance. Mayo had no clue what would get paid for and didn't seem to care. Janie

I will be having RNY at St. Joes in April.  Everyone there is great and I feel very confident in their abilities.  I wasn't wild about the psych guy, but otherwise no complaints.  I don't know how the receptionist learns everyone's names so quick, but she greeted me by my first name ever since my second appointment.
