OT - boy trouble
Well, I needed this like a hole in the head today.
I'm online, catching up on my emails and my best friend im's me. He knows I'm seeing Chef Rob, but apparently has decided now is the time to tell me he's in love with me.
Good grief. I love him to, but as a friend. So now I have a royal mess on my hands....I did have feelings like that for him when we first met, but he was in a relationship then, so we were just friends...now he springs this on me.
Life was not this complicated two months ago.
Only you can decide where your heart belongs-just let him down gently and maybe he will be okay.....or not-guess what? It is NOT your problem, it's really his!! If Chef Rob makes you as happy as you have been saying, obviously that relationship is gonna take precedence over your old friend, and he should know that-making a play for you when you are seeing someone else is kind of a passive aggressive move, since HE KNOWS YOU ARE SEEING SOMEONE ELSE AND ARE HAPPY. Guys-love 'em to death, but sometimes they send us over the edge....
love ya lady-

I hope you take your time and not rush to any decisions just because he's sprung this on you. If he really cares about you he'll wait for you to sort things out. Good luck!
Blessed are those who can give without remembering
And take without forgetting.
Don't take life too seriously; No one gets out alive.
May You Fly with Eagles
Run with Wolves
Walk with Buffalos
and
Always be my Friend

I'm new here, so Hi!
Guys have a way of making the simple things complicated. I can tell you this because I am one! My wife will certainly agree as well.
The thing to keep in mind is that there is a reason that you didn't start dating your best friend right away, and it was probably meant to be that way. The fact that he was seeing somebody else at first allowed you time to realize that you don't see him as more than a friend. That's the easy part.
The hard part is finding a way to let him down without crushing him and ruining your friendship. There really isn't any foolproof advice for that one.
Good luck!
