Ouchy Pouchy - stomach flu
Well, wed. my dad got the flu. By Thurs at 5:30pm I had the flu. WHOA Lordy. First time in four years, since my surgery I had the vomiting flu. I seriously thought I would die.
By midnight I was holding the bucket while sitting on the toilet. NOT FUN. By 1:30 I realized I was getting really dehydrated and started drinking water. Friday I spent in bed, moaning and drinking water....no more vomiting, but wishing I'd bought stock in Charmin.
Today I got up the nerve to try a few crackers. That went well. But I was so weak in the shower I decided to make a protein shake....thats seems to be going ok. I'm going to head to the store soon to pick up some immodium, still little issue there.
I gotta get better....haven't see Chef Rob since tuesday and we both are going thru withdrawal!!!
My pouch....named BRUENHILDA today...is still not happy, but behaving.
How do you guys deal with this???
Hello.....I am sorry you had been feeling so sick. Glad to hear you are feeling somewhat better now.
I haven't throw up at all since surgery.....I can't imagine having the stomach flu....UGH!!!
Keep the fluids going in as much as possible. Get plenty of rest and know that I am sending gentle hugs your way!!

I just saw on tv that they have had more cases or reported flu here in the last two weeks than they have had all season so far. I did get a flu shot this year, and although a couple of the flu strains going around are not covered in the shot, they said it should help keep us from getting as sick as others if we contract those types since some of the antibodies are in the shots we got. Hope you are back to your self soon!
Blessed are those who can give without remembering
And take without forgetting.
Don't take life too seriously; No one gets out alive.
