Hey all, Anyone have any good ideas for the puree stage? I have been eating cream of wheat and refried beans and I need something else. Thanks

get some chicken - I bought the cooked ones at the deli- and puree it with some of the juices.  looks ugly, but tastes like heaven.  Chili was my friend too-puree the heck out of it, then add a little cheese and sour cream....yummy.  I like chicken liver, so I cooked those, pureed them and added a little FFmayo and mustard, and had pate'.  good if you like it.... some people did mashed potatoes but used cottage cheese to mash with them to up the protein.... laughing cow cheese wedges or other semi soft type cheese is wonderful!! good luck! lynn

My favorite was ham and pineapple puree. Yummy!!! You can also do canned chicken with just a little bit of chicken gravy. That's good to. Good luck! Lori

Here are some nummies I'd had during the pureed phase:

Strained cream of chicken soup with poultry seasoning added' (I'd also added plain protein powder)  tastes like Thanksgiving dressing!

Fat-free refried beans with fat-free cottage cheese or shredded low fat cheddar cheese blended. Add smooth salsa --Hola Mexico!

Egg Beaters mixed with a little skim milk, add a very little bit of vanilla and one packet  of Splenda. Make like scrambled eggs, and sprinklea bit of nutmeg over it when done. Tastes like French toast!

Egg Beaters with slice(s) of American cheese, made like scrambled eggs.  Tastes like mac and cheese!

Drained water-pack tuna ; mix with a little mayo, dry mustard, garlic powder, dill  seed, and (fresh ground) pepper to taste. An amazing spring 'salad'!

Pumpkin custard:  make per pie recipe on pumpkin can.  Pour into 1/4 cup microwavable storage containers (I used Gladware smallest size).  Microwave for five minutes, check for soupiness in center, microwave at one minute increments until firm.  I had a bite with a meal, then  covered the container and put into fridge.

Jello sugar-free  pudding made with skim milk:  Varieties avalable are lemon, banana cream, vanilla, chocolate, chocolate fudge, butterscotch, and cheese cake. (I avoided the pistachio at the time).  I'd added a very little bit of Smuckers sugar-free seedless jam  swirled into the cheese cake.  The banana actually tastes like real bananas.

There's a start on variety!  Best wishes as you shrink down!  Hugs galore, Patti

Do you like pumpkin? I have a protein pumpkin pie pudding recipe from Unjury that is really good! I've also heard of people pureeing a meatball with a little marinara & mozarella cheese for a spaghetti like meal.
