I love Linda's idea! and I agree with the rest of them too.  This time they will have to do without your great culinary services! If they still keep bugging you - tell them that you'd be happy to bring them food on Valentine's Day if they join you for the liquid diet every other day of the two weeks - you'll either have company on your LD or you'll have hungry co-workers on V-Day! Good luck!

I was lucky and got to meet Jeanne in person last Sat. at the St. Cloud coffee.  We gotta get her down here for the Eagan coffee.  She is a gem and just as darling in person as on the boards.  :O) Lisa Joy

Hi Jeanne, It never ceases to amaze me how insensitive and disrespectful and lazy people can be.  If you are going to be on a 2 week liquid diet there is no reason why you should be expected to bring something to a potluck.  I don't know how big your office is, and that shouldn't matter anyway, but we have people in my department who choose not to participate in potlucks for various reasons.  Do they bring something anyway?  NO!!!! If they love your recipe for "whatever", tell them you will bring in the recipe and someone else can make it.  I wouldn't even bring chips and salsa.  It's time they grow up and respect what you're going through.  Your potluck days are NOT over forever...but for now until you're back on solid foods post surgery...they are temporarily on hold. No need to get nasty to them...but hold firm and stand up for yourself.  You are worth it!!!! Good Luck!
