5 DPT = why???
Hi
I'm on day 2 of the 5 day pouch test. I know that my tool still works, that's not the issue.
Basically there are some people who have not lost all their weight and want to get back on track. For me, I lost all my weight and then some, in 13 months. I've done great it keeping it off for 4 years. I started back in with some bad habits, (carbs) after going through a major stress in my life.....and want to get out of this habit and lose the 10-15 pounds I keep bouncing around with. I am hoping that being totally without carbs and what they call "slider foods" will help me get back on track.
This surgery is the greatest thing that I ever did for myself, but it is also the hardest thing I've ever done. The further out you get, the harder it is. We all have to keep in mind that this surgery is FOREVER, not just the "honeymoon" stage in the first couple years.
I think this 5day is also a help to get our "brains" back in the game.

I did it for the reason to get back on track. It has worked great for me and I have lost 10lbs so far in a month just cutting out, Crackers, Chips. Candy and all the rest of the crap I was eating not to mention my addiction to Diet Pepsi which I have had two cans in the last month! Like I said in the past Bad carbs are the devil and make us more hungry as well as Diet Pop. the funny thing is since I stoped bad carbs and Diet pop my cravings have disapeared and I feel better so you can take it anyway you want. I was going back to my old ways and gained almost 20lbs! So I am over half way back to my goal of getting to 200. It has been working for me. the bottom line is even though we have this surgery it is a tool and not a cure all.
