what to bring with on a weekend trip

I am going to Hinckley with a group of co-workers(all female) in two weeks. I don't cook, and I don't want the people who are cooking to feel like they have to accommodate me. One woman is bringing chili for one night, so that's fine... but what are some small things I can bring with so I won't feel left out food-wise? With that said, my butt is going to bed! (been up since 7am yesterday morning. Oy!)

Bring cheese, veg and craker tray or do something like an egg bake you can do that a head of time, for you to munch on bring cheese, beef jurkey, tuna, plus you cna always bring something you "shound't" eat but then have only a taste.

Have fun and don't worry about the food i'm sure there is going to be enough and they won't even pay attenetion to what you brought.

My thoughts are:  FF/SF pudding snack cups Flavor packs for your water (i.e. Water Sensations, Crystal Lite, Special K protein - comes in single stix now, too) Jerkey String cheese Clementines or apples, if you can tolerate

If you like crunch - peanuts, Just the Cheese baked rounds (order online at Amazon), or Soy Crisps from Trader Joe's (the white cheddar flavor is great IMO).

Or, if you're each bring something and have a fridge & microwave, you could always bring meatballs or something like that. The sausage/cheese one's are good, too - and easy to make. If you need a recipe, let me know. Focus on the conversation and bonding time, not the food, and you'll do great! If the snacking of the others gets overwhelming, maybe ask another if they'd like to join you on a walk. Gets you out of the immediate area and you can re-focus. Have a great time!!!

great suggestions! For me, the biggest deal was making sure I got my protein and water in.  So I made sure I had my water bottle & assorted flavor packs, and I made sure I had protein bars along - just in case.  And I did need them.  Turns out, a person tends to either not eat enough when on a little road trip, or eat all the wrong things.  I love jerkey, and sunflower seeds are a good snack!  Pistachios, too - and Cub has had them on sale for a couple of weeks!  (Sunkist, $2.50/bag)  I have to find salty/crunchy things to replace my fondness for chips, so nuts are a good substitute! Good luck to ya!

Okay, and if you like sweets - Darla has turned us all into Twisted Protein Bar fans! It is like the Take 5 candy bar, but better for ya. You can find it in the health section at Target.

My other fave that packs well is the foil pouches of Bumble Bee tuna fillets. I love the ginger/soy one!
