Psych Appointment

That is so great that you have all your appointments that close together, which for a psychologist is really rare.  I think that if you have a good psych that he/she would get a kick out of the colander or at least the idea of it.  I hope things continue to fall in place for you, you so deserve it!

Sandie - I think you'd agree, I'm going to a great psych - yep, it's Lana! The famous Lana. So excited about that because both insurances cover her. I asked Heather do I go for the "gold" (Lana) or go for one close to our work so I don't have to take as much time driving & she said Lana was worth it. Don't know if Lana would get a kick out of the colander or not, but I'm half tempted to try it. LOL Thanks all for your responses. I'm totally going to be patient through this because I have no choice to be, but I'm also very excited to get this phase of the journey done. And, Debi, you're right. That last psych appt. will be one week before my last NUT visit, so that will be awesome. Be well everyone!

I was going to ask you if you were going to see Lana. I saw her too and she is very very very good. She really helped me see a lot about myself and my eating patterns that I think I had tucked away. Just one thing, I know for me it was more than 3 appts. I thought maybe I had some serious issues or something, but she just wanted to make sure I was on track and what not. I think I actually saw her 4 or 5 times. She even referred me to a psychologist that I still talk to that is great and works with WLS patients too. Good luck. Patience is definately the key. When I first started the process in June I felt like it was taking forever and now that I have a date next month, time seems like it flew by. Good luck! Rose

Hey Man!  DO NOT KNOCK THE COLANDER UNTIL YOU TRY IT!!!!  LOL...worked for me!   You will do FABULOUSLY...just don't put that you want to be a floral designer on the MMPI--apparently that means you are psychotic.  Can't wait to hear your take on the whole thing...... Jeanne

There are questions on the test rating how well you would like certain jobs.  I can't remember who told me, but they said that if you say that you really would like being a floral designer it meant you were crazy!   I figured they were going to find out that I was nuts either way!   Crazy
