Psych Appointment

I was able to go ahead and schedule my psych appointments. The psych I am going to requires (3) visits prior to bariatric surgery. The first is an in-take, second is the MMPI, and third is a follow up. I will be done with (2) of them in February and the final one is scheduled for the first week of March. Feels good just to have these scheduled, though I still remember when Jeanne went through this and someone posted she should wear a metal colander on her head. That cracks me up to this day!!! And man 'o man am I getting good at asking questions of the insurance companies I have to deal with. And trust me, I'm writing EVERYTHING down when we talk. Looking forward to the month of February and so hoping we can submit to insurance in March. So, who else is at this stage???

That was me -- and the colander it is so the alien's can't read your mind!!!  If you don't have a metal colander -- aluminum foil around a plastic one will work!!!  Don't forget the blow dryer and your Barbie -- maybe you could borrow Jeanne's!!!!  Of course -- she really loves her Barbie!!!  Kid With Doll  Congrats on getting these scheduled and feeling more relief as you go through the process!!!  Hugs to you -- you'll do fine!! I remembered her Barbie, too, but figured I wouldn't even dare ask to borrow it - I know she loves her Barbie. lol And the colander still kills me! Thanks Barb.

I am soooo happy for you, Amy!!  YAY!   May everything fall quickly in place!! I don't know anything about a metal colander, but the Thunder Bay  fruitcake who administered my MME should've been wearing one. Truly--this guy probably had been sniffing too much white-out. A REAL IDIOT!  I had to pay $300 to have the MME re-done in Duluth because this loser never answered the original question. And he charged $600 for that! Mind you, this is the 'professional' who told us  we needed to be 'consistent in desciplining' when my boy twin was exhibiting abherant behaviour because he had been lactose-intolerant since birth  ((and not one doctor --not even the pediatrician)) diagnosed it. Poor Neil had a tummy ache even from breast milk and without getting relief starting throwing himself around and doing other self-destructive behaviours before  age 3!   ((No--Neil did not get breast milk at 3--he needed more food than I could supply.))  SO I have NO respect for this quack at all!!  ((My SIL suggested taking Neil off milk to see if that was the culprit--and within 2 days this kid became HAPPY!  He would pu****er on his cereal 'cuz otherwise he'd have a tummyache--after a year he was desensitized and could drink milk like a calf)- Anyway--enough of this!! SORRY!  My blood still boils when I think about this moron--and he was the only guy in TB who was available to do it in my time frame. WHEW---What a ramble!  I guess I need a shrink to deal with this long-past history! Have a GREAT weekend and time will fly for you! (((HUG))) to you, Amy! **SUE**
