Do we have any post-op's that are expecting? Just wondering how your journey has gone during the pregnancy and have there been any issues related to your WLS during the pregnancy? Best wishes!

I used to be a post-op expecting mom....lol.  My pregnancy went GREAT - our bodies are strange things.......and most post ops that have gotten pregnant have said the same thing - all of a sudden you are pregnant and you can eat like a horse - crazy really - also stopped dumping while I was pregnant.  After baby - everything pretty much went back to normal.  Let me know if you have any questions I will do my best to answer. Jenn There is a post op pregnancy board on OH - awesome ladies over there that have been in just about every situation from getting pregnant at just a few months out to those under a doctors care to get pregnant.

NO!! Heck no!!! But, we also have not ruled out having more children some day, so I'm just wondering how the journey goes after WLS. I've seen Jenn's daughter and she's gorgeous so no concerns about baby, just wondering how WLS mom's do during the pregnancy.

I had a baby girl 15 months ago.   I was 14 months post op when I got pregnant.   I had no issues at all during my pregnancy.   I also could eat way more than I had been able to.   I took vitamins much more vigilantly than normal too.    I did end up having low iron after she was born but nothing during my pregnancy.   It was actually much easier than my prior 2 pregnancies that were pre op and I was 14 yrs older.    Anything you want to know feel free to ask.   Yes, my baby was perfectly healthy at 7lbs 14 oz.
