I know this is not wls related but just woundering if anybody knows of a good place to have a tattoo done? One of the things I wanted to treat myself to was a tattoo of a celtic knot.  I'm in the process of developing it and putting it on my back for my birthday! Any feedback Thanks Troy

Hands down I'd suggest Acme Tattoo on Arcade St in St Paul.  They take walk ins on the weekends.  I'd suggest going up there on a Friday night and see what it is you'd like.  I've had a few of my tattoos done there.  More than 5 years later they are just as colorful as they were when I got them.  They are always very busy.   Absolutely the best, and I've done my work and checked around.  Have fun!  I'm getting a small tattoo on my hand after I reach my weight loss goal.  Just haven't decided what I want yet. Scotty Muenster at Olde Towne Tattoo in St. Cloud.  That guy is amazing.

Acme Tattoo on Arcade St in St Paul! Hands down.  I went there for mine two years ago as a way to celebrate my weight loss and I love it.  My daughter and I both got one and she is going back for another in a couple weeks.  I want another one but I can't decide what to get so for now I'm still searching but when I do I'm going back there.

Hi Brother: I have a total of 4 tatts and all within the last 5 years. I have an eagle on one shoulder draped with the Amer. Flag and a Buck (deer) on my right shoulder. I also have a memorial one for my mother on my left breast and a cancer tattoo on my right forearm for me being 5 years clean. I really do like them and I have a young guy that does them for me here in Brainerd, don't know of too many down in your area. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.  Take Care Richard

I got my first one at Electric Dragonland in Hopkins.  They do incredible work, have won numerous national awards, and will re-touch or re-color your tattoo for life if it fades.  One  drawback is they have a $150 minimum price tag.  (My first cost me $90 - it's on my right shoulderblade.) My second is a tiny butterfly on my hand (I have pic in my profile if you're interested...).  I got it to remind me of all the things I need to do to honor my tool, to be successful for the rest of my life with this gift I've been given.  I found many shops didn't want to do anything on a hand.  You know how ironical it was to have a young woman COVERED in tattoos from neck to ankle and everything in between, tell me they don't do hands - because what if I ever went on a job interview and they saw it???  EXCUUUUUSE ME???  Well, I talked with one of the tattoo artists there and told him what I wanted and why.  He thought that was so cool, he agreed to do it!!!  And their minimum is $50.  That was Good Clean Fun tattoos in Monticello.

I have some friends that swear by Aloha Monkey in Burnsville.

Their artwork and skill is awesome - always been impressed with their work.

If you wanted a road trip - Steve from Lou's Tattoos in Tampa Florida does a nice job too :)
