Well the dietician called me yesterday and wants me to start this diet.  I will be on it until I have surgery.  It is not all liquid though.  I get a slim fast for breakfast, slim fast for lunch, and then a lean cuisine for supper.  I guess it is better then broth and jello only.  It is still hard though.  I havent cheated at all, so that is good!   Naomi

I am glad that you don't have to be on the liquid diet all the way until your surgery date because that would be quite a test of will power.  I wish you the best of luck with this diet that the nutritionist has put you on and hey at least you can have some variety with the different flavors of Slim Fast and Lien Cuisien!

Good for you.  This is the most trying time of the process.  It's good you get to look forward to at least one real meal each day.  I was on the total liquid diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery and I wanted to lay under a bus to put me out of my misery.   But not one day do I regret having to do anything I had to do for my WLS.  If this is really what you want, you just have to be tough.  When you want to cheat, come here and rant or blog.  I know for me, just writing my thoughts down helped.  We are all here to help you get through it, well as much as we can.  And we have all gone through it or will go through it, so getting suggestions from the many people on this board can help you as well.  I wish you the best of luck and keep us posted.  I look forward to hearing about your success.

Naomi, You will do just great and being able to have one meal a day is wonderful.... I was on liquids only for two weeks and I cheated once but I did post here at OH and so if you feel like you need to cheat.  Come here first and vent it way much better than the guilt of cheating, wish I had done that instead of cheating.  We are are here for you if you need us, and more thing...... YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Erika

I know every Doctor has a diiferent LD so it can get confusing hearing what others had to do. I found that it wasn't that bad. Good luck and stay on track it will be over before you know it.
