And Linda?  I have no words of wisdom, 'cuz my hubby is the same.  Can't figure out how to deal with me when I'm having some kind of a crisis.  Which is RARE, but like when my dad was failing, or when he died, when I just needed to be held?  Nope.  You'd have thought I was some kind of leper or something!  He means well, just has no clue what to do or say in those moments. 

And as far as going with to the doctor?  Good idea.  Sometimes men can get the right advice from US, but not HEAR us until someone ELSE says the same thing!!!

T-Roy!!!  Good to see your handsome face!!!   I have heard of this selective hearing of which you speak.  And I believe it is a very real phenomenon.  What I DON'T get, is - if it's true that "When Mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy", then WHY, OH WHY!!??!!  do men do that???!!!  It makes no sense!!! I know my hubby suffers this affliction.  But I sincerely do believe the man needs a battery-operated hearing aid, too.  Straight up.  He's going deef.  'Cuz missing some of the stuff he misses is just plain wrong.

Linda, It speaks volumes of your DH that he cares enough to go to the Dr with you!!! I pray that they can find something out for you soon!!  (((((hugs))))) CarolN

LA - okay, I consulted my DH about this one...he's got very good perspectives on things. Neither of you are right, neither of you are wrong. Oh, how do you like that one?! LOL Okay, you know ASL. Does DH know ASL? If so, can you come up with some sign for what you need? i.e. "Emergency" or "911" or "Let me rest"? DH thinks that your DH's reaction is normal. He said if I passed out and couldn't talk, his first reaction would be to call 911. He also said you should have information about your surgery & surgeon readily available where your girls & your DH know where it's at. So ICE (in case of emergency), they know where it's at. We think it's totally awesome that you are BOTH going to the appt. tomorrow. Very important in any relationship. Your DH loves you & you know it. Just a couple thoughts...from us to you. Love you!!!

About the only thing I can say because I never been married - Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus!  That's the only explanation - there's no way we all existed on the same planet for all of enternity - there's just too many differences between us. I certainly hope that the doc can give him some good advice tomorrow!  Just remember that men like to fix things and when they have no idea how to fix them they do stupidiotic things! Hang in there girlie  and I hope you get some answers tomorrow.
