I have read a couple of posts lately about being tired.  I just started my 5th month after Open

RNY.  I am down 80 pounds and other than being tired everything is good.  I take all of my vites religously.  And I get more than enough water in.  I was just wodering if this is normal?  Have other people expericed this tiredness issue?  And how many months out did it last? Thanks Jayne

I was pooped out for months right after surgery...just think about all the changes your body has been going through! This latest bout of the poopsy's is my own fault. But if you really that tired, call your surgeon...just to be safe!

Yeah! It's normal. I have to say, I don't get tired anymore. I have sooooooooooooo much energy. I think at about 6 months I started to feel better.  Lori

I'm 3 1/2 months out and I am sooooo full of energy I'm driving my hubby nuts -- we're suppose to be old grandparent's.  Vitamin's, exercise, water and protein -- don't know what else it could be with you so you should call your surgeon and see if they want to do a blood panel.  It could be you need more iron, more B12, bad thyroid, etc.  Hope you feel better....XXOO

Thank  you for you answers.  I had a lot of energy at first too. Then I slowed way down.  I think you are right it might be my iron.  I called the nurse yesterday and I am scheduled for a blood test. Thanks Jayne
