Caffiene Question ~
From Wikipedia:
Green teas have about a quarter the caffeine content, by liquid volume, of coffee.[citation needed] Green teas contain two caffeine metabolites (caffeine like substances) theophylline, which is stronger than caffeine, and theobromine, which is slightly weaker than caffeine.
Teavana is a local tea store. You may choose to call there and inquire as well. Just a thought. The following is from their website.
Green teas have only 5-10% the caffeine in coffee. Green tea is also high in antioxidants, which flush the toxins, boost the immune system, and help to prevent cancer. They also lower blood pressure, fight gingivitis and cavities, and help regulate blood sugar levels. Green teas should be steeped at a much lower temperature than boiling.
I think "they" say 16 oz. of water for every 8 oz. of coffee, so maybe - geesh, good question. I would think that as long as your tea isn't all of your liquids in a day and you still get in water, you're probably fine. But, honestly, I have no clue. Just guessing. Now here's one for you. Would you ask a NUT about this or an herbalist?
Great question Dana. Let us know if you get an answer.
