I had my consult with the surgeon yesterday and I have to lose 25 pounds before I can have surgery, which I know i can do. I have an appointment on 2/15/08 and by then I want to have lost at least have of it.  I want to use optifast, but don't know where to buy it. I tried calling the clinic, but I just left a message, in the meantime, I thought I would ask here and see if anyone had any suggestions on where I can buy it from.  Thanks Rose

I think you can only purchase it from a weight loss clinic.  You might want to try Medifast instead.  You can find it on the internet.  That's what I used prior to surgery and it worked great!

Much cheaper to purchase protein powder and make your own!   I don't see much difference in actual nutritional value either.

There CAN be a big difference and I had the concussion to prove it! If you are eating food, protein supplements are fine. If all you are doing is shakes, you need meal replacements.  They contain the salts, potassium etc you need to live.  Read the labels!  Medifast is fine.  So is lowcarb slimfast.  So is NSA CIB.
