This is the first time in my life I've ever encountered this problem.... I don't want to eat! I'm about 1 month post-op and I seriously have lost my appitite. The past 3 days have been odd... I don't want to eat anything, but I've been craving milk like crazy. When I see food, or think of it, I feel sick and really want nothing to do with it. And when I do attempt to eat everything tastes blah and I give up after a couple of bites. Anyone else out there experience this before? Any suggestions? How long do you think this will last?

I remember those days...just do the best you can. It really will get better. Be sure you are getting in your water for sure! Keep trying things. Somedays you can eat something and the next day it is gross and visa versa. Don't give up! Keep us posted on how you are doing. If it gets worse be sure to notify your doctor .....it could be something else. Hugs, connie d

Boy do I know how you feel. I had my surgery on 12/14. Oh the thought of food makes me sick. It just does not seem worth it to eat. Nothing really tastes great and it just seems like so much work. I do not have any desire to eat at all. I do try though to have 3 meals a day. They say this is important so I do what they say. I can really only handle a few bites of food at this time other wise I am really sick. I say take it slow but try to eat even if you don't feel like it.  Your not alone. Sorry I really don't have any suggestions other than just do your best. If you don't eat it can delay your weight loss.  Best wishes and hope this gets better for the both of us.

I went through that too. I think mostly I was just bored of food. Try mixing it up a bit with different spices. Do some experimenting. You may find you'll get your appetite back. I did! Good luck! Lori

Oh yeah, I remember that time period well.  I believe it is the evolution of the journey. Your pouch wants you to take things slow and perhaps the brain is in synch.  It is truly a gift.  Good for you that you are drinking lots of milk, that is a very good thing.  Don't rush the process, you will be eating soon enough and enjoying what you eat, just not in the quantity that pushed us into the darkness.
