Day 4 & No Caffeine
So, I thought I'd share on how it's going with my cutting the caffeine out of my life in the hopes of encouraging some other pre-ops, or even post-ops I guess.
To be honest, I thought quitting the caffeine was going to be so horrible, but it has not been very bad at all. I have had no headaches, which I expected, so that has been great. I have however been extremely tired and I don't know that it would be considered a withdrawal symptom, but it's the only thing that has changed this week. Today I finally do not feel so fatigued which is nice.
I've had decaf coffee when I wanted coffee, but find I've actually been craving hydration so I go for the water more than anything. I have even made a cup of coffee at work and not remembering if I made regular or decaf, have dumped it out instead of taking a chance.
The dietician I am seeing also wanted me to cut out milk and switch to a calcium supplement. I figure I will do that next week, I needed to break the coffee habit first. I couldn't do it all because to me that was old diet mentality where I'd be all gung ho about making all kinds of crazy promises to myself and I'd break every single one because it was too much too fast. So, learning to break that mentality as well has been a good part of my journey.
Hope you all have a great day today - stay warm!

YAY YOU, SWEET THANG! I think it's wise, to kick one thing at a time. To try to do it all at once would be overwhelming to anyone!
I have picked up what I believe is a minor coffee addiction myself, but for the one large coffee a day I drink, I believe I get in enough other liquids to make up for it (yesterday? 80 oz.) But the second I feel I'm over-doing the java? (Or the second anyone else tells me they think I'm over-doing it?) YOU'RE MY #1 ASS-KICKER, GIRLFRIEND!!!
I don't remember... are you coming west for karaoke Saturday? We could sing a love song to each other!
Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
