Girl Scout Cookies
If you wanted to still support the Girl Scouts, why not go to a place where they send the cookies to the troops. I know I have seen these places around in the past few years. You are still supporting GS, sending the troops something and they are not in the house, so the temptation isn't there.
Just an idea.

Just to clarify, you don't have to "go" anywhere - if you are approached by any Girl Scout, they should ALL have the capability to accept the Troop-to-Troop donations. Increments of $3.50 are the best, but any donations are accepted and can be applied to the program. I know whenever my troop has a shop set up at a public location, people will often tell us to "keep the change" when they pay for their cookies - and we apply it all to the Troop-to-Troop program.
Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Last year I told the little girl at the door I wasn't allowed to have sugar. She said I could buy some and donate them to soldiers serving in Iraq etc. So that's what I did, I bought them and made a note on the order form for them to be donated to the military when they arrived. I felt like that was a win/win deal.
Blessed are those who can give without remembering
And take without forgetting.
Don't take life too seriously; No one gets out alive.
May You Fly with Eagles
Run with Wolves
Walk with Buffalos
and
Always be my Friend
