Hey Sandie, my oral surgery sistah! I had emergency oral surgery yesterday afternoon. This was a LARGE back molar which left a whole that now feels like the Grand Canyon! I wanted a crown or root canal, though the tooth had a long horizontal crack, plus the third prong of the root was curved upward ninety degrees, so Dr. Crank 'n Yank couldn't save it! This oral surgeon said curved roots are very common (only after I had a flash vision of saving the tooth and appearing on the Letterman show! Arrrgggghhhh, the pain now from being injected with the ROCKET of a needle! Two stitches, and my left cheek and nose have been numb since the novacaine and nitrous oxide wore off.. Too bad they can't send us home with a personal little 'laughing gas' inhaler! Than all day, I've slept, taken another Vicodin, sleep more, and now I'm off to repeat...Hang in there hon! I'm due for another Vicodin and nap! Hugs galore, Patti

SO YOU HAD FUN TOO!! I'm sorry! I can honestly say I feel your pain!!! I had a folded over root so there was no hope to save it (plus it was the far back upper one anyway). I have stitches too! OOOOO, the laughing gas rocks!! Hope you are better today! It is very sore today and eating pudding makes me think I am on the full liquid again

. It even hurts just to open my mouth to insert a baby spoon of pudding! GRR! HUGS to you!

I feel your pain. I've had teeth problems for years. I've even had gum replacement surgery (twice) where they took all the tissue off the top of my mouth and transplanted it onto my gums using stitches. I've had 10 root canals and about half my teeth are crowns or veneers. I'm in the process of trying to save my last 3 molars so I don't have to have implants put in. Most of my sagging mouth sides are from no back teeth and bone loss. STAY HYDRATED!!!! It so helps -- and use snow in baggies for ice packs -- feels great!!!! XXOO

Thanks Hon! TOday I am sore and HUNGRY!!! GRRRR! Pudding and soup makes me feel like I am on the full liquid. I want to bad just to chomp on sumpin but I KNOW that would be a killer since a baby spoon with pudding hurts!! I excpect by tomorrow it should be better! HUGS!
