Rupp & Kelly Patients...

Do you remember the "Celebrate Your Sucess" support group????? I spoke briefly and asked you to send you kind thoughts and energy the way of a very special patient who had been struggling through the appeals process for THREE YEARS!!!! Guess what you guys???? It worked!!! After three years appealing a stupid plan exclusion for morbid obesity - SHE IS APPROVED!!! Her surgery is on the schedule!!!

I work with Bariatric patients every day and I try to encourage people to keep jumping through the ridiculous hoops insurance puts in front of you. I am there to help you and cheerlead but you guys get stuck doing the heavy lifting.  To all who think you can't overturn an exclusion or who think you will never get through the process - you can!!! Persistence pays off!!! One day insurance will hear you and treating obesity will be the same as treating any disease - no prior auth needed. Even though I will be out of a job, it will happen - I have seen what you all can do when you help a fellow traveler out on this journey!!! Good job! I have said it before and will say it again - we have the greatest patients! Now could you guys collectively come up with some winning lotto numbers for me. Please??? Take Care Y'all! Ginger

Trying to be the best I can be but not feeling it lately..  Probably need to get my hiney in to see Anitra/Dr Rupp but dealing with bad feelings of myself and my weight gain.  Slight weight gain, but kinda frustrated and the emotions are getting the best of me. IM A BIG OLD FAILURE...!!! Gonna be trying the 5 day pouch test starting Saturday to make sure the tool is still up to snuff..

Oh Sweetie!!! We all have those feelings - regardless of the method of weight loss!!! I curse at my cellulite every morning!

You are not a failure! This, like anything is work - and sometimes we are up for it and sometimes we are not - it happens!!! Please let me know what you need and I will most certainly accommodate it. We also work with a fantastic dietitian who helps people get back on track. I think Eileen has seen her if you want her thoughts... If nothing else please know you are not alone....you have me and the whole office on your team cheering you on! We are here for you! Hugs! -G

Good golly woman!  You have certainly made this gal grab a tissue..   Thanks very much for your kind words.  Regardless, I do have to get in for a annual checkup and blood work so I hope to find a good time for that.  I will certainly be in touch soon..
