Did your surgeon reinforce your pouch?
Chute, Drew and Schwartz are the only docs I know of in the metro that do it that way. Schwartz only does Alloderm and Drew and Chute give their patients an option of either Alloderm or their own fascia latta from their thigh. I went with the Alloderm. As far as needing to stretch it if there is a stricture, there wouldn't be a problem having the alloderm there. It's on the outside of the pouch and they don't make it so tight that it doesn't have any give. At least I wouldn't think so, a stricture would be scarring on the inside and they would stretch from the inside endoscopically (through the mouth) more than likely.
My doc is at my work today, i'll have the person working with him ask him today about the wire in the blind stomach thing and find out his theory. Drew and Schwartz have been doing them so long they've tried so many different ways i'm sure they have a reason why they don't do that.
