LOTS of us had our surgeries at PNC!!!  I had Dr. Jones, and he did a fantabulous job - if you haven't done so, I would strongly encourage you to go to their info session (you can get it on parknicollet.com). I would also strongly encourage you to attend their support group meetings!!  Yes, even if you're not sure where or when or even IF WLS is in your future!  There's not a better way to get info and hear all about the various steps along the way, before, during and after surgery.  I started going 2 months before I had my RNY - I go the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month in St. Louis Park, the bank building across the parking lot from the 3800 building.  2nd Weds is usually some specific topic (to start out with), and the 4th Weds. is open forum/ crap shoot!  There are other nights specifically for lap band patients, and for those 1 year + post op.  Anyone from ANY program is always welcome, no charge, and you simply will NOT find a better place to meet people, make friends, and figure out where you stand with this whole WLS thing!  PLEASE COME!!!

I am not sure how valid my response will be...BUT... I used to work for PNC in St. Louis Park and worked with a few ladies that actually had their surgery there! I cannot testify for them but I can tell you they all never had any complaints. I went to their Informational Meeting and the nurse was VERY honest, very helpful, very informative. Even though I hadn't been for sure about having it done, I was able to call and ask any questions. So, on the pre-op side of things I can tell you they were extremely kind and helpful. I hope that helps a little! Edit: Just a side note...the only reason I am not and did not have my surgery there is because I moved away! So, that's a bummer.

Ditto what Darla said -- particularly the support meetings!!!!  I have been with PNC for 20+ years and their bariatric doctors/nurses are great!!!!  Their ENTIRE bariatric program is centered around making you comfortable -- like the oversized chairs in ALL areas.  You never feel out of place. Good luck on your journey.  XXOO

Mine was two and a half years ago, I understand some things have changed since then but I hear they are still great.  My experience was a good one I have no complaints.

I am a PN patient as well. I had Dr. Jones. I just love everyone there. The staff is just great. I concur with Darla above. Good luck with making your decision.
