The long awaited for WOW moment
Well I survived my almost 8 month plateau!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For almost 8 months now I went back and forth the same two pounds going from 178 to 180 and actually the scale rarely moved off 180.
Well, it's been really cold and I've been really cold and I've soooooo hungry in the morning that I started having two packets of Instant Quaker Oatmeal (the good stuff cuz the stuff with Splenda and Splenda in gerneral makes me nauseous). I wait until about 9:30am to have breakfast and those two packets hold me beautifully until noon lunch. Then because I work a part-time job which starts right after my full-time job, I have dinner at work between 4pm and 4:45pm
Last week I went down to 178 and then suddenly by Sunday I was down another pound to 177!! Then today!!!!! I'm down to 175. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!!! Mind you even though I have been on this plateau, I actually dropped 3 YES 3! clothing sizes!!!
So, I have now lost 64lbs and I have 36 more to go! I also was watching an informal which I rarely do and I bought an exercise cd that I think is right up my alley. I will be starting with that next Monday.

OMG!! I don't think I would survive and 8 month plateau - give yourself a pat on the back just for surviving it. Then CONGRATS on breaking that plateau - sounds like the oatmeal thing works great! keep up the great work!
Take care and try to keep warm!
Hey Kathleen,
That's great to hear. I've been stuck for the past few months - bouncing from 171-174. I prefer to think of it in terms that I'm maintining my 96 lb. weight loss very easily and I've never been able to do that before! And, I've gone down a couple of sizes too. I know I need to get in for a fill 'cuz it's just too easy for me to eat too much. But, I'm eating healthy (well, except for the chocolate...) and have kept up with the exercise and water, so I know health-wise I'm doing ok. Just would like to get rid of the last 20 lbs. Beauty of the band though. It's still there to get filled and help us out. I've got an appt. on the 5th and can't wait. Hope your loss continues to show on the scale. Jean B.
