Hi All,

Need some advise... for the first time I feel really hungry!

Not for junk ... MEAT..EGGS... MORE FF Refried beans.

The 3 8oz . of skim milk and the 2 Tbsp. just this afternoon did not feel like enough for my body.

Not eating it that was still comfortable for pouchy. but and hour later my body .. felt so in need of protein too walk or rest.

Of course it did pass and I am still on schedule.. and I am planning on calling the NUT. tomorrow.

Any one else who would like to share this need for protein and hunger this early post-op 16 days out and problem solving.... I AM LISTENING!

Thank MN OH,

MJ

MJ, I don't have a lot of advice - but my thinking is that if your body is craving protein (not just your head) than I think you could probably try eating a little more.  Maybe start out with just a tablespoon more, wait 15 minutes and if the craving is still there than try another tablespoon.  Not sure if that's the best approach or not, but doesn't seem too risky to try. I'll be interested to hear what the NUT says - so keep us updated. Can't wait to see you Wednesday! love ya, Tracy

MJ I am 11/2 months out, but just recently had a similar experience.  I had a little extra protien and felt better and to my suprise I still hungry come time for my next meal.  I am really interested to hear what the nut says.  Nicole PS I too and really excited to see you Wednesday night!

I was feeling that way about three weeks ago.  Doodlebug suggested that because I get done eating so fast because I'm not eating that much, that I do my normal 15 minute meal and then 10 minutes later try another bite or two.  Not only am I getting in an extra bite or two toward the magic 1/4 cup, but it makes the food last longer to the next meal.  It REALLY helped!!!

I've also noticed that sometimes I think I'm hungry a while after I eat but it is actually thirst.  Especially since it is sooooo dry right now.  Do a little extra drinking -- water of course -- and it might make it go away -- it could just be head hunger and you really aren't hungry at all.  XXOO

Hi MJ, I was told 3 tablespoons. If your feel that you still hungry add a tablespoon. After a month I told my NUT that I was at 4 tbsp and she said that was about right. But call they are the experts.
