YaY! and thanks!

Hey everyone thanks for all your kind words and welcoming me to forums. I moved to Minnesota in July of 06, from Portland Oregon.  I still get lost and I'm greatful that my Dr is only a block away from my apartment. Speaking of my Dr I am going to see her on wed. to have her sign the PCP paper and then I'm mailing it all in. I'm so excited.  I had a very close friend back home have WLS and she had a really rough time from ghost pains to forming an aditction to her pain meds.  All of that shyed me away from the whole idea, none the less I kept this page book marked about about a year ago I came back to it reading everyones stories and sharing quietly in joy for them.  So now I'm taking the steps knowing that every time is not the same and going into this with an open mind. I'll do my best to post everything just like all of you have and make sure to ask all kinds of questions.

Welcome to Minnesota and the MN OH board.  You won't meet a better group of people anywhere else.  I didn't see where you live but try and check out some of the coffee groups and/or a support group.  The Park Nicollet Clinic holds them in St. Louis Park and Burnsville monthly.  Many of us from the boards attend them and I think I can speak for all of us that this board, coffee groups and support groups are our life line to WLS.  You'll get the best support, encouragement and the occasional kick in the patooty EVER.
